Description:
Oversees the activities of the animal care unit. Performs various technical procedures, e.g., bleeding, surgery, autopsies and inoculations biopsies. Insures Standard Operating Procedures and protocols are maintained and adhered to. Trains employees in proper laboratory techniques. Maintains quality checks on cleanliness of laboratories and animal rooms. Insures care and maintenance of the animals in the facility according to Good Laboratory Practices. Supervises animal technicians and other support personnel.
